Ciara is killing it in HTT Givenchy! She was the talk of the town in Paris earlier this week for both good and not so good reasons. She wowed onlookers at the Givenchyhaute couture fashion show on one of the fashion houses ensembles but was booed for arriving 40mins late. Oh well, at least she looked amazing!!
*FORGIVE ME IF THERE ARE ANY TYPOS IN THIS, IT IS 4:49 IN THE MORNING*
We all love leather but leather-fanatics get to endulge this year. Although wearing leather in summer might seem wrong, when you check out the teal minI by Celine or thE soft-as-butter leather dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim, it just feels so right!
I personally can't get enough of hoodies. They are comfy and cool, they can be dressed down or up and just like the leather jacket was for the past couple of years, they can be teamed with dress and look equally as edgy and chic. In 2010, they should be staple in your closet!!
For 2010 the "manique" trend comes with a refreshing twist! Instead of the hard and harsh lines that we saw on the runways last year we get to enjoy the boyish style with softer fabrics and more feminine cuts and textures. The material is flowy and light coloured therefore giving you the desired egde without compromising your feminine sexuality!
Spots with stripes, zizzags with swirls - break the rules when it comes to dressing in 2010 and pile on clashing prints. We saw this trend on a few last year but it never really caught on, but this year it will be everywhere! Dries van Noten and Marc Jacobs have created elegant colour and pattern combinations, or pick up a high-street to make a head-turning medley. Go on, I dare you!!
This is a no-brainer!! Thin, double, knotted, rope, buckled on the hip or waist, belts are always a key trend for any season. They are the quickest and chicest way to update any look. But a definite no no for 2010 is a thick fat belt, those so last year!! Use a skinny or medium sized belt, the longer the better. This way you can loop it and it will make you feel slimmer *wink wink*.
Burberry Prorsum belted everything from evening wear to trenches, which gave the whole collection a young, hip attitude.
